Five Points just got sweeter. Cocoa Bama is a locally owned chocolate shop from Hannah Platko, inspired by the Virginia chocolate shop her father founded back in 2013. Everything is handcrafted in small batches right here in Huntsville, including truffles, ganache-filled chocolates, fudge, dipped treats, fruits, nuts and custom chocolate gifts. This is exactly the sort of opening I love seeing tucked into an established neighborhood instead of another giant development. I’m starting with a mixed box of truffles and letting curiosity choose the rest, like mine and Forrest's Mamas always said. <3
