Ole Hickory is the kind of small-town barbecue joint we want Hungry Hungry Huntsville to make easier to find. The menu sticks to familiar Southern territory, with smoked meats joined by sides like baked beans, potato salad, slaw, fried okra and hush puppies, plus Alabama white sauce for good measure. Nothing here needs a fancy elevator pitch. It’s casual, affordable barbecue in New Market, and another piece of the larger North Alabama barbecue story we’re slowly eating our way through.
