Perseus Sound Bar

Some new restaurants give Huntsville another place to eat. Perseus Sound Bar is trying to give us another way to spend time. Opened in May 2026 inside Anthem House at MidCity, Perseus blends a Mediterranean-leaning café, Italian pastries, specialty coffee and a serious vinyl listening room built around hi-fi sound rather than televisions and background noise. Even the name has Huntsville orbit: owner Nick Quinn has said Perseus was inspired by a NASA article about the sound of a black hole. The daytime menu has included handmade Sicilian cannoli filled with ricotta cream, maritozzo, pizza fritta and focaccia layered with mortadella, pistachio and burrata, while special pizza nights and an expanding dinner and cocktail program hint at what Perseus eventually wants to become. Come hungry, certainly. But this may be one of the clearest examples yet of where Hungry Hungry Huntsville's Eat and Linger worlds collide: somewhere you're supposed to sit down, hear the whole song and stay awhile.
