Perched atop the 106 Jefferson hotel, Baker & Able is a downtown rooftop cocktail lounge named for Baker and Able, the primates whose 1959 spaceflight became part of Huntsville’s Space Age history. The draw is equal parts skyline, cocktails and small plates, with indoor and outdoor seating overlooking downtown. Cocktails lead the way, including signatures such as the Jefferson Old Fashioned and Savory Girl Martini, alongside a surprisingly substantial zero-proof menu. Food is designed for grazing: pimento cheese with house pickles, warm Bavarian pretzels with cheddar fondue, shishito peppers, flatbreads and build-your-own meat-and-cheese boards
